This advanced VerbalCraft extension builds on foundational de-escalation skills by integrating Jumpstart Mastery’s trauma responsive procedures for behavioral emergencies and incident management, known as INSERT. Leveraging Incident Command System (ICS) principles, INSERT provides a structured, effective approach to crisis intervention. Participants engage with real-world scenarios, followed by detailed breakdowns and narrative-based analyses. Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT)
ACIT for Dedicated Teams Responding to Psychiatric and Behavioral Emergencies
This ACIT version is tailored for psychiatric and behavioral emergency response teams in hospital settings, including State Hospitals, Residential Treatment Facilities, and DOC-administered care facilities. It aligns with CMS, TJC (JCAHO), and DOH standards and is based on the Allentown State Hospital PERT approach. Rooted in non-restraint principles that helped Gregory Smith lead Pennsylvania to a restraint-free care system, JUMPSTART’s PERT training is informed by decades of research demonstrating that response teams committed to non-restraint strategies significantly reduce violence and assaults.

V-TACT gives everyday workforce members the structure and clarity needed to act decisively under pressure.
